Marina Replacement Committee – MRC

  • Reviewing Capital Improvement loan information with banks

  • Draft a shorter Marina Replacement Survey on potential way forward
  • Prepare planning and program timeline of Marina Replacement; e.g. State and Federal permits, bank loans, Slip Owner assessments, etc.

Marina Maintenance Update

  • Completed Maintenance
    • Cut down dead tree and trimmed trees around Marina building and parking lot
    • Secured Slip A-12 float under finger pier
    • PJ (Carpenter) completed all 2025 dock repairs – floats; triangles, aluminum covering (budgeted for 2026 repairs)
    • Secured and refurbishing Summer buoys and chains
  • New and Ongoing Maintenance
    • Conduct safety inspection and maintenance repairs of docks and Marina in March
    • Re-trim around Marina basin
    • Conduct dump run
    • Replace Pedestal and Marina Office building light bulbs
    • PJ (carpentry) conduct dock repairs starting in March
    • Water to the docks turn-on scheduled for week of April 13-17
    • Turn water on to Marina Office week of April 13-17
    • Put out Summer buoys in April

      • State and Federal Permits submitted. Federal permit approved, awaiting State permit approval.
      • Conduct bathymetric study in 2026 at the conclusion of dredging

Future Business

  • Spring 2026 – Host Delaware Boater Safety Course by the USCG Auxiliary Indian River Station. Cost is $20 per student.  Include an Indian River Inlet familiarization portion for new Owners/Renters.  POC Slip G-10 Renter – USCGA
