  • Gate and Restroom Codes. Selected a new four-digit code for the 2026 season. Put out in Slip Owner letter, Constant Contacts, and Annual Meeting
  • 2026 repairs. Dock repairs started by PJ and crew
  • Bay Colony POA construction – Bay Colony POA concluded the drainage work off Colony Drive and the Marina parking lot – parking lot paved on Monday
  • Parking lot striping –parking lot line striping in Spring 2026, ICW Bay Colony POA line striping; Matt’s Paving
  • No additional updates from insurance company on liability issue

Marina Maintenance Update

  • Completed Maintenance
    • PJ (Carpenter) started 2026 dock repairs – floats; triangles, aluminum covering (budgeted for 2026 repairs)
    • Conducted safety inspection and set-up maintenance repairs of docks and Marina
    • Secured and refurbished Summer buoys and chains – both Summer buoys eye-hooks welded
  • New and Ongoing Maintenance
    • Renewed 2026 maintenance contracts – repair, lawn, and cleaning
    • Re-trim around Marina basin (JUN and Don)
    • Mark Pedestals that need bulbs replaced and Marina Office building light bulbs
    • PJ (carpentry) continue dock repairs through April
    • Water to the docks turn-on scheduled for week of April 13-17
    • Turn water on to Marina Office week of April 13-17
    • Put out Summer buoys in April

Marina Business Update

      • F-42 boating accident – did not find boat that was involved in accident
    • Updating master files and display board
    • Updated Board of Director sheet and 2026 Rules and Regulations and posted them to bulletin boards
  • New and Ongoing Business
    • Select new Dock Boxes for Marina – Slip Owner purchase directly from company selected
    • May/June 2026 – Host Delaware Boater Safety Course by the USCG Auxiliary Indian River Station. Cost is $30 per student.  Include an Indian River Inlet familiarization portion for new Owners/Renters.  POC USCGA Jack Gallagher, and Slip G-10 Renter, and Michael (Board POC)
    • Dockmaster Tom returns for 2026 boating season April 17-18
    • Meeting Tuesday, March 31, with two Board members of the Marina at Peppers Creek to share ideas
    • Attend town meeting hosted by Seagrass Plantation on Monday, April 20, 3:00pm, at the Bethany Coastal Shore Library regarding shore erosion around Indian River Inlet Bay

        • Dredge price is $45 – $55 per yd. Estimated at 4,000 yds. of dredge material to remove; estimated total is $180K – $220K
        • Next step is to develop and sign contract
      • Dredge material spoil site – Land owner – Chris Magee, Frankford, DE
        • Locked in for disposal site for September – December 2026
        • Contracted on April 3, 2025, made a deposit of $10K
        • Price is $10 per yd. (4,000 yds. x $10 = $40K)
      • State and Federal Permits submitted. Federal permit approved, awaiting State permit approval.
      • Conduct bathymetric study in 2026 prior to and at the conclusion of dredging

Future Business

  • Continue to track Bay Colony Lot L-22 landscape agreement with the Marina
