2022 Board of Directors Election

Marina Financial Update

  • Review Marina Monthly Budget spreadsheet

Marina Maintenance Update

  • Completed Maintenance
    • Repaired Pedestal hose fittings on F-dock and E-dock and new one on H-dock (H-25) (orange traffic cone with sign to identify no water)
    • Restored power to Slips A-19 and F-32
    • Washed Marina decking area
    • Repaired hole in main dock by Slip H-22
    • Plumber Jerry fixed broken main water line by Gate 1
    • Fixed broken rub rails
  • Re-attached additional Dock Boxes on H-dock
  • Painted parking light lamppost bottoms (3ea) – one more remaining to complete.
  • New and Ongoing Maintenance
  • Repair Marina porch railing – broken
  • Green channel buoy hit by boat
    • Inspect and purchase new green light damaged
  • Dock boxes
    • Ongoing; Replace all H-dock Dock Boxes with four (4) bolts
  • Repair cracked Marina well casing – Plumber Jerry – scheduled
  • Repair additional dock triangles that are bad and dock under-bracing between G and H dock – PJ Handyman (on-site visit today)
  • Dock Float assessment and repair/replace
    • Conduct assessment on which floats need replaced
  • Ongoing; order/replace Dock pedestal photocells that are burnt-out
    • Continue – paint last parking lot light pole bottom black (grass trimming and paint)
    • Touch-up white poles on signs in the Marina by boat ramp

Marina Business Update

  • Previous Business
    • Modified Dockmaster Tom’s work hours for July and August to include Friday workday
    • Updated Marina Lease agreement and posted to website
    • Discussion – completed mean low water survey in Marina and channel entrance; Plitko LLC Survey (Rob Plitko, PE, Ocean View) (hydrographic (water-based) survey mapping the depths and shapes of underwater terrain to illustrate the land that lies below)
      • Board discuss future Marina Dredge Plan – in conjunction with low water survey
      • Begin process to obtain DNREC and Army Core of Engineers permits.
    • Refer to Marina Land Map – DNREC completed annual conservation easement monitoring on Thursday, April 14; Laura Parks, DNREC Land Preservation Tech
    • Received new 2022 Marina insurance coverage and binder from Pratt Insurance – Kevin Malloy; schedule visit and update for September Board meeting of New Officers
    • Placed order for new Dock Boxes – Beachcomber Fiberglass Technology, Inc. Stuart, FL (Julie Marshall)
      • 12ea new Dock Box; and 1ea Dock Box lid
    • Ongoing; Slips for Rent and Sale
      • 4x Slips currently up for Sale (A-19, C-10, C-20, F-36); 1x for Rent (B-13)

    • Parking lot area observations
      • Neighbor observed children on bikes jumping into the water and riding down boat ramp into the water
      • Old TV dumped in woods in back parking lot area
    • Dockmaster Tom notifying Slip Owners/Renters to remove dock mats and additional bumpers attached to Slips
    • Ongoing – update Constant Contact email distribution lists for 2022 with new Owners and Renters
      • Mail spreadsheet to all Board members
    • Modify Marina Rules and Regulations to contain language about no foul flags and banners throughout the Marina (boats, docks, parking lot, etc.)
    • Board discuss conducting Marina Reserve Study
    • New Dockmaster Hiring – begin in August
      • Coordinate with Delmarva Temporary Staffing Agency
      • Review scope of work and hiring conditions

    • Conduct meeting with Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club Board of Directors on new Business practices
