Old Business
Pole Replacement: Caps still have to be installed on several poles.
Dock Repairs: Dock repairs will continue to be an ongoing process. The Marina Board walked the
docks to itemize and prioritize areas requiring repairs. There was much discussion on the list tht
was generated. Payments and fees to be paid to the contractor hired to do repair work was
discussed. We will be requesting that the contractor modify his invoice so we can better
understand work performed and the time required to do the work. It has been brought to our
attention that there is a slip and trip hazard at the bottom of the main ramp. We will be coating this
surface with a non slip material for added safety.
Tender Boat Acquisition: A Tender Boat was purchased for $1800.
Operation Seas the Day: Many thanks to the slip and boat owners who have volunteered their time
and boats to show Wounded Warriors and their family a day out on the bay.
Wind Sock: A wind sock will be added to the end of H dock so that boaters entering and leaving
the marina can get a feel for wind speed and direction.
Speed Limit Signs: Signs will be added or moved to more visible areas to alert drivers of our
5MPH speed limit in the marina.
New Business
Update and Organize Outdoor Display Boards: The outdoor display boards will be made current
with updated slip sales and rental information.
Spill Response Kits: The kits will be inspected, re-labeled, and updated as necessary.
Crab Traps: Crab traps are not allowed to be stored on the docs as they may cause an unsafe
condition.
Parking Lot Maintenance: The parking lot will be inspected to list and prioritize needed repairs.
We will solicit proposals to repair the marina parking lots. The parking lot area near the main ramp
that is now labeled no parking due to the fire department water connection will be expanded and
more prominently be labeled no parking
Dock Carts: Two new dock carts will be purchased, one for each entrance gate.
Please note that the Bay Colony Residential Community and the Bay Colony Marina are two
separate entities and we do not share facilities.
